Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack

(Washington DC Metro Area)

Seeking an analytic thinker with a can-do attitude. Are you a relentless problem-solver with deep CS skills who loves turning visions into solutions? Then this position is a fit for you!

As an invaluable member of our engineering team, you will wear multiple hats: technical lead, architect, programmer. Your responsibilities include every facet of converting ideas into products. You will be in charge of innovating bug-free features and capabilities, with an eye toward simplicity, usability, scalability, and efficiency. The engineering team works closely with our operations and business development divisions as well.

You’re a passionate engineer who can analyze problems from a 10,000-foot view one minute and fix a minute piece of stubborn code the next. Your algorithmic, curious mind itches to understand both the whys and the hows.

You love the unpredictability and energy of startup environments and aren’t afraid to jump into new technologies. People enjoy collaborating with you, but they know to leave you alone when you’re in the zone. You consider yourself a good communicator who enjoys figuring stuff out but knows when to ask for help. Your mantra is, “Nothing’s done until it’s tested.”

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Excellent track record in software engineering
  • Experience in web-based technology
  • Ability to write technical and functional specs
  • Understanding of databases, database optimizations, and performance tuning
  • Working knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript (and cloud hosting a plus)
